“Aye man I”ma say this, I’m happy where I’m at if they happy to have me,” Tip said in an interview. “I’m happy where I am — I’d like to finish my career there if that’s possible, but that’s not up to me, it’s up to them.” (Power 105.1)
Last month, the “King of the South” revealed Atlantic reached out to him for his thoughts on possibly adding Young Jeezy to their business side.
“I think that’s phenomenal for Young and I’ve known about it for quite some time now. He came and spoke to me and asked me how I felt about it as far as whether or not it was a good fit for him,” Tip revealed in an interview. “And [Atlantic] came and asked me how I felt about it whether I felt that he was a good fit for the position and what not and I think it’s phenomenal.” (“The Morning Riot”)
Last spring, the platinum-selling rapper revealed his disgust at some aspects of the music biz.
“This is what everyone fails to realize. I want out. I want out, man. What the game is going to and what has evolved into from a personality standpoint, it goes against what I represent. What I embody, this game contradicts that. So I want out. I’m in it because I love music and I have obligations contractually.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Recently, Tip spoke to SOHH about juggling multiple projectsincluding his own and joint collaborative efforts.
“We’re definitely going to get Trouble Man [out there] first,” Tip told SOHH when asked about his upcoming LP release dates. “That’s defnitely number one, that’s definitely priority. You’ll get that in time. As far as the T.I. and B.o.B. and T.I. and Young Jeezy record, that’s in the works. I don’t know man, I definitely want to do both of them.” (SOHH)
