Remember that proposed reality tv show “America’s Next Top Rapper?” Apparently, Trina is still trying to forget. She’s being sued for her failure to appear.

Omnipresent Media and Lawrence “Amar” Right have filed a $50 million suit alleging that Trina backed out of the online competition.

Trina was scheduled to appear on a three-judge panel on December 30, 2011 in Dorchester, Mass, but never showed.

They also say Trina failed to promote the contest. The winner of the show was to win a $20,000 grand prize, a distribution deal with Universal, and work with a “hit production team,” among other amenities. “Plaintiff began to promote the event without the aid of the promotional material, plaintiffs were able to secure tens of thousands of dollars in contestant registration funds,” the complaint states.

The company says they paid for flight and hotel arrangements according to Trina’s demands, but the rapper never provided promotional videos to help promote the show. “Trina despite being paid to do so never attended or participated in the competition in any form or fashion as agreed.”

Ominepresent alleges that Trina’s absence caused attendees to “become unruly and heckle competition participants,” and demanded refunds.

The company hasn’t disclosed Trina’s fee, but says she was paid half of it upfront, despite never doing anything to promote the show.
