Wichita State freshman guard Ron Baker sat in his locker after the Shockers’ 73-55 NCAA Tournament win against Pittsburgh on Thursday and pointed out the various places he got hit during the physical first-round game.
Baker took an elbow to the mouth late in the first half – a hit that resulted in a flagrant foul on Pitt’s Lamar Patterson – and later, a hard shot to his left cheek that will likely leave Baker with quite a shiner.
