Former Chicago Bulls basketball player Dennis Rodman says he should be in the running for a Nobel Peace Prize following his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un earlier this year.
Rodman made a highly publicized trip to North Korea in February where he and Kim Jong Un bonded over a shared love for basketball.
Afterward, Rodman was quoted as calling Kim Jong Un a “friend for life.”
In befriending Kim Jong Un, Rodman says he sees himself as a peacemaker deserving of recognition.
Rodman says he’s planning a return trip to North Korea next month and may go on vacation with Kim Jong Un and his family.
Rodman recently competed on NBC’s “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.”
