The 2013 MTV Video Music awards are August 24th at the Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. While hip hop has less of a presence than usual, there is still quite a few nominees to get excited about. Macklemore and Justin Timberlake lead the pack with 6 noms each, and Mack’s “Can’t Hold Us” will then also go up against Drake, Kendrick, A$AP Rocky, and J. Cole for hip hop video of the year. The Weeknd, Iggy Azalea, Snoop Dogg, Miguel, and Beyonce have also scored nominations.
