The jury of four men and four women did not look at Zack Reed as he came into the courtroom. The jury was in deliberation for 6 hours before reaching a decision. Reed has been referred for a pre-sentencing report. He will be back in court September 5.
Reed was arrested March 5 on East 9th and Rockwell Avenue after he failed to stop at a red light and made an improper turn. He then refused to take a breath test and this incident was Reed’s third OVI arrest.
Councilman Reed says that he has no plans on resigning and that he has important work to do in his ward, which is Ward 2.
