We’ve all seen the video, but now comes the angst and agitation. Last night in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Trinidad James$ performed at Converse’s Rubber Tracks Studios where he took a blatant shot at the birthplace of Hip-Hop. Today, Maino, Smoke DZA and more spoke up on their city’s behalf.

Do you think these next-gen New York rappers have a right to be disgruntled at Trinidad Jame$? “What the f**k happened?” James ranted to the mostly stunned crowd. “I remember when New York rap was the s**t, and us in the south, us ‘bammas, we was like, ‘What the f**k?’ and we just did our own thing. But now we run y’all, that’s crazy.”

The video instantly went viral, which found fans and critics alike all offering their own thoughts on the matter. Today (Nov. 13), New York rapper’s Maino, AG Da Coroner and Smoke DZA all took to Twitter to vent their frustrations about the Def Jam musician’s southern-fried rant. [Continue reading – HERE]
