This is just HORRIBLE…

The fear behind this year’s most terrifying homemade drug Krokodil has found a possible home in the Midwest and is spreading across America.

According to the Huffington Post, reports of the drug have shown up in Utah, Missouri and predominantly Arizona. The drug, first discovered in Russia, hit the U.S last year and is a mix of phosphorous, codeine, and oil, popular with heroin users.

Physicians who spoke with the online news outlet said the more likely culprit for the flesh rotting symptoms are dirty needles that infect heroin users with HIV, Hepatitis and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. This can lead to “gangrenous skin, deep abscesses, and loss of limbs.”

You may remember the recent usage of the drug in Chicago, when two sisters didn’t know they used Krokodil until their skin began to deteriorate. Scary stuff…
