The Minnesota Vikings dropped cornerback A.J. Johnson from their lineup after cops charged him with domestic assault this week.
According to TMZ and Hennepin County records, Jefferson was arrested on Monday at his home in Eden Prairie after his 23-year-old girlfriend reported that around 4:30 a.m., A.J.
“grabbed her neck and she could not breath” and then“picked her up by the neck”
and threw her off the bed. The dispute was allegedly over her ignoring his text messages.
A.J. is being held on $40,000 bail. If convicted, he faces up to 3 years in prison.
