It’s all fun and games, until your Instagram posts help indict you.
Depree Johnson is a convicted felon who took incriminating Instagram pictures of himself with weapons, stolen jewelry, and money. And now investigators have them, and him, in custody.
Reports WPBF:
WPBF.com learned Friday that detectives from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office were actually investigating Depree Johnson in connection with a series of jewelry thefts in several Boynton Beach senior communities.
Once they had information that led them to Johnson’s Lake Worth home, they recovered “numerous pieces of jewelry … (including) watches, charms, necklaces and loose diamonds, as well as two stolen firearms,” according to a report by the sheriff’s office.
Officials said they recovered about $250,000 in jewelry, electronics and firearms.
Johnson faces 142 counts of possession of weapons/ammunition by a convicted felon, among other charges.
And now….the evidence.
