5 Reasons We're Looking Forward To R.Kelly's New Album Black Panties

After consistently bringing us hit after hit since the early 1990s, the Pied Piper of R&B has made it his mission to be the soundtrack of “date night” and is famous for music that is sure to set the mood. His latest album, “Black Panties”, hits shelves this week and we’re sure that it will be nothing short of body-rolling greatness. Here are five reasons we’re looking forward to R.Kelly’s latest, “Black Panties.”

1. The New R.Kelly Is The Perfect Mix Of Ratchet and Sexy

Whether you like it or not, our generation embodies the whole “turned up” and “ratchet” era and if you’ve been paying close attention to R.Kelly lately, then you’ve noticed that he has figured out a way to incorporate a healthy dose of ratchetness with his old school sexiness. Take for instance, one of his singles “My Story” featuring the turn up king, 2 Chainz. While Kells sings the hook of the song in his usual fashion, 2 Chainz brings the hype with his rap verse. If the rest of the album is anything like this single, I want in!

2.  R. Kelly Has Been A Consistent Hit Maker Since The Early 1990s

Honestly, can you name one bad R.Kelly song? From “Half On A Baby”, to “You Remind Me”, to “I Believe I Can Fly,” each of R. Kelly’s singles has been quite awesome which leads us to believe that “Black Panties” will go down as another one of R. Kelly’s many classics.

4. The Features

R.Kelly has a lot of help on his new album, “Black Panties”, from some of the best in music today. Kelly Rowland, Future, Ludacris, Migos, Juicy J and Young Jeezy all make appearances on “Black Panties” proving that the album is perfect for old school R.Kelly fans and new school R.Kelly fans alike. Not to mention his collaboration with Lady Gaga on the 2013 American Music Awards that had everybody either covering their eyes or moving in to get a closer look. Either way, whenever Kells teams up with other artist, he’s sure to provide us with some entertainment!

R.Kelly’s new album is titled, “Black Panties.” That title alone shows that there’s a lot of sexiness on this album that only the one they call “The Pied Piper” could bring! 5. His 2013 BET Awards Performance Was The Preview Of The Greatness That Was To Come

Let’s take it back to the summer of this year when R. Kelly performed a medley of his hits on the 2013 BET Awards. There was not one person sitting down in their seats while Kells was on stage, including those of us who watched it from our living rooms. While Twitter users (including myself) went crazy tweeting their favorite R.Kelly lyrics and reminiscing on their favorite singles, audience members danced and sang along like we were back in the 1990s! This performance was just a little preview for what was to come because it definitely got us all in the mood for R.Kelly to come back and grace us with the grown and sexy music that we’ve been missing!
