Richard Sherman

Looks like somebody’s excited about going to the Super Bowl!

After making his biggest play of the season to help the Seattle Seahawks claim their spot in Super Bowl XLVIII, star cornerback Richard Sherman gave a very angry post-game interview that’s sure to go down in sports history.

During a brief interview with sideline reporter Erin Andrews, Sherman told San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree to never come at him again.

“I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you gonna get. Don’t you ever talk about me,” he screamed like a pro wrestler. “Don’t you open your mouth about the best or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick.”

If you missed the game, no worries! Here’s how that final play went down, according to NFL.com.

Richard Sherman twisted in midair, contorting his lanky frame to swat Colin Kaepernick’s touchdown attempt away from wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

The ball bounced into the air, and linebacker Malcolm Smith corralled it in the end zone. Game over. Super Bowl-bound Seattle Seahawks 23, San Francisco 49ers 17.

Following the play Sherman tracked down Crabtree, patted the receiver on the backside and extended his hand for a handshake. Crabtree clearly took the move as a taunt, pushing Sherman in the facemask.

Fox Sports cameras then caught Sherman giving the choke sign to the 49ers. The corner was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The Seahawks won the NFC Championship 23-17. The team will compete for the Lombardi Trophy against the Denver Broncos on Feb. 2.
