Neal Hodges is the Neighborhood Engagement Coordinator for the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland’s Promise Neighborhood.  Hodges has 20 years’ experience in the Cleveland community working with schools, parents and students. He was a barrier breaker with the Cleveland Metropolitan School district, supporting principals, and connecting families with needed resources, after school programming as well as a liaison to community stakeholders.  Hodges, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Cleveland State University, is deeply involved with the arts and film community. He has been involved with Karamu House Theatre, and arts educators.  Hodges has served on the Cleveland International Film Festival’s marketing committee for over 15 years, was the artistic director for the 2012 inaugural Cleveland Urban Film Festival and helps producers scout for locations. Hodges’ experience makers him invaluable in his work with families and Promise Ambassadors, a group of neighborhood residents working to ensure students get an excellent education.
