Perched on a piano and clad in a floor-length black gown and matching elbow-length gloves, the 43-year-old singer debuted the tune “You’re Mine.”
Jennifer Hudson, Janelle Monae, Tamar Braxton and Ludacris also performed at the awards show, which took place Saturday night at the Warner Theater.
Aretha Franklin’s granddaughter paid tribute to the Queen of Soul by singing Tamela Mann’s “Take Me To The King.”
