As we previously reported, after months of speculation as to when or if the highly anticipated Air Yeezy II Red October shoes would drop, out of no where a tweet went out from the Nike Twitter account. Nike-Air-Yeezy-II-Red-OctoberIt only took between 10 to 20 minutes before the shoes were totally sold out.

According to Eben Gregory, a rep for Nike sent out an email that said,

“Nike was committed to releasing the Red color way. And it was clear the consumer was asking for it. Nike communicated directly to nearly 2.6 million Twitter followers when we made it available for purchase….This is the final shoe in the Yeezy collection.”

Still no comment was made about co-creator Kanye West.

It’s unknown if Nike plans to release more online or at retail stores. Nike launched the original Air Yeezy in 2009 and followed it up with two colorways of the Air Yeezy II in 2012.
