Donna Dabbs is an active advocate for economic growth and entrepreneurial and business development. In 2011, she became director of the Cuyahoga Small Business development Center (CSBDC) at the Urban League of Greater Cleveland. As director, she helps entrepreneurs build profitable and sustainable businesses. Dabbs also serves as executive director of the greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival and is vice president of the Society of Urban Professionals (SOUP, Inc.), a networking organization that provides business planning and marketing advice to local professionals. Since SOUP’s 206 launch, she has implemented various marketing strategies including a campaign that boosted the organization’s membership directory by 600 percent. In addition to her professional pursuits, Dabbs is active in the community and has served on the board and advisory committees of several local organizations including Dress for Success Cleveland and Karamu House. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, she has more than 20 years of management experience and has travelled to Africa, China and Hong Kong to expand her knowledge of international business.
