It’s not every day you hear of a professional sports team letting go their franchise player, but that’s exactly what the Philadelphia Eagles did on Friday, which left folks scratching their heads.

The NFL team decided to release wide receiver, DeSean Jackson, just shortly after NJ.com released an explosive report! The website linked DeSean to a man who was charged with killing a 14-year-old rival gang member in 2010, and they also attempted to link him to a gang-related murder that took place outside of a building that was owned by a member of his family. During the investigation of the 2012 murder, they found a car title, receipts and a gun permit that belonged to DeSean in the building, however, he was never considered a suspect in the actual crime.   NJ.com also used numerous Instagram photos of DeSean posted up with his “troubling associates” in their report, and claimed that his Instagram name Jaccpot10, which also is the name of his music label, has gang ties:
