Supreme was set to release its new collaborative Nike Air Foamposite 1 at its New York flagship Thursday (April 3), but the NYPD had other plans.
City police forced the brand to shut down the in-store release due to public safety concerns.
Supreme announced the shutdown via Twitter, writing:
“Due to concern for public safety, NYPD has forced us to not sell the Supreme/Nike Foamposites and accompanying clothing in our New York Store.”
