Actor Mekhi Phifer recently filed for bankruptcy. He owes $1.2 million in back taxes, $50,000 in legal fees, and $4,500 in child support.
According to TMZ, he spends $11,600 a month but only brings in $7,500.
He was recently seen in the film, “Divergent,” and also had a recurring role on the shows “House of Lies,” and “Torchwood” in 2012.
Hopefully with his upcoming roles he will be able to straighten things out.
