Syleena Johnson is proud of the way she handled things with Angie Stone this season on “R&B Divas: Atlanta.”

There was a misunderstanding between the two sirens that centered around a tour that Angie ended up booking. That didn’t sit well with Syleena who’d first spoken to Angie about the production, but having learned a thing or two from previous seasons, Syleena stayed relatively calm when broaching the subject with her co-star.

“Instead of me going crazy and going off like I did last season, I restrained myself,” said Syleena who argued with former cast member Nicci Gilbert during season 2 of the show.

“I restrained myself,” Syleena told radio host Yolanda Adams. “All season long as we get into things, we resolve them.”

Syleena admitted that seeing herself lose it once or twice in previous episodes, made her reevauluate how she handles such tense situations.

“I don’t do all the best things. I don’t make all the great choices, but I am looking at myself and growing through watching myself,” she explained. “That’s the pro of being on reality television. It kind of catches you how you are and it gives you a different perspective of how to see yourself.”

Syleena’s not the first reality star to see an unfamiliar reflection of herself on TV, but she said there are two ways to handle it when those moments arise.

“In this process, you can either learn from it or burn from it, so I prefer to learn,” she said.
