After reportedly being evicted from his Chicago mansion last week, Chief Keef is facing another issue. According to the Chicago Tribune, officials canceled Keef’s concert scheduled for Saturday, June 14 at The Olympic Theatre, fearing that the rapper’s appearance may potentially spark a riot.
The venue manager claimed that Keef’s promoters needed a bigger venue and that was the reason for canceling the show, however, officials are saying otherwise. Cicero Police Supt. Bernard Harrison mentioned that he talked to the venue manager himself and was asked for the concert to be shut down.
Harrison released a statement last week saying:
“We have indications from intelligence sources that there were going to be problems and there have been many problems at his concerts in other places. I spoke to the director of the theater myself and asked if he could cancel the concert. He complied with my request.”
All tickets were refunded and police also canceled plans for the event to be moved to King of Diamonds.
It seems as if Sosa’s struggle with his career continues…
