There will be peace, love, and Breezy at the Soul Train Awards. Chris Brown is set to open this year’s show with a thrilling performance.
The R&B superstar leads the pack with seven nominations including Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, Song of the Year for “Loyal,” and Video of the Year for “New Flame.”
In addition to Brown, the legendary Jodeci will reunite to perform a medley of hits and a snippet of “Nobody Wins,” the group’s first single in nearly a decade. The North Carolina quartet, which includes brothers Cedric “K-Ci” and Joel “JoJo” Hailey, as well as Dalvin “Mr. Dalvin” and Donald “DeVante Swing” DeGrate, has not performed together in the U.S. since 2006.
