According to TMZ, Bey, along with her hubby Jay Z (who appears on the track) and Timbaland (who produced it), are being sued by a Hungarian folk singer, who claims the trio stole her song.

Monika Miczura, stage name Mitsou, said the sped-up voice that you hear in the first few seconds of the song is from a 1995 recording of her cut ‘Bajba, Bajba Pelem.’

She claims not only did the artists use her song without permission, they also used it centered around sexual lyrics and imagery — ‘Bajba, Bajba Pelem is a song about hopelessness.
