Tamir Rice Video

The parents of Tamir Rice (pictured), a 12-year-old who was murdered by Cleveland police officers, are continuing the fight for justice for their son. They recently filed an amended federal wrongful death lawsuit in regards to how the police officers handled the interaction with their son. The updated complaint has 27 more claims, which includes excessive force, wrongful death, and battery against Tamir’s sister, Tajai Rice. Lee Daniels Seeks Denzel Washington for ‘Empire’

The show “Empire” has seen a lot of success since it made its television debut. The show’s ratings pulled in the strongest debut stats that the Fox network has seen in years. But a new possible cameo might take the scripted series to the next level. Lee Daniels is trying to enlist actor Denzel Washington to make an appearance on the show. “Denzel hasn’t done television in 30 years, but he saw the pilot and said, ‘I’ve got to be a part of this.’” said Daniels. Daniels also recently took to Instagram and posted a picture of the two over dinner to show viewers that he’s trying to convince Washington to do the project. “Trying to talk this one into doing a guest star on #empire #nextweekdinneronme” he wrote. Other celebrities who have made an appearance on the show include Lenny Kravitz, Macy Gray, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, and more. Read more.

I didn’t think it would happen this fast to be honest, but it feels really good,” said Williams. “I would love to get to 22. I mean, 19 was very difficult to get to. But I have to get to 20 first, and then I have to get to 21. It will be a very big task.” Williams becomes the oldest winner of the Australian women’s title in the Open era. Read more.
