And then there was DRAKE. Not only did the secret project “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” surprise us all late last week, but its pulling in amazing numbers already. According to Spotify, its sets their new record for most streamed: streamed more than 17.3 million times in three days, the most ever for an album in its debut week.
As if it couldn’t get any better, Drake held the previous record with his “Nothing Was the Same” album, which has 15.8 million streams in its debut. Not to mention, the new project also set a record for most streams in a single day for an album in the U.S. with 6.8 million streams on Saturday. With these kinds of numbers, it’s no surprise that the album is set to sell 500,000 copies in its first week.
