According to TMZ, the 47-year-old rapper, born Robert Van Winkle, was renovating a house in Florida for his television show, The Vanilla Ice Project, recently and decided to snoop around a nearby home, which was vacant. The former owner didn’t live there any longer but still had furniture inside.

For some reason, the rhymer, known for his ’90′s hit “Ice Ice Baby,” took it upon himself to remove the furniture from the home and take it with him. He even stole a pool heater, bicycles and other items.

Variety reports he was taken into custody earlier today (Feb. 18) and police found the missing items in his home after obtaining a search warrant. The Columbus Dispatch reveals Winkle is set to appear in Ohio at the Expo Center for the Home & Garden Show on Feb. 21. It’s possible he won’t make it after these charges brought against him.
