Police in riot gear

COBB COUNTY, Ga. is reporting: It happened just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Goodyear located at 2475 Cumberland Parkway in Cobb County. Police say officers from Smyrna and Cobb County police went to the location to serve a warrant on a probation violation for a man. Police say the man jumped into a Maserati and drove towards officers.

The parents of Nicholas Thomas say police did not need to kill their 23-year-old son on Tuesday. Smyrna Police, however, maintain that Thomas’s actions put police officers’ lives in danger.

His parents, Felicia and Huey Thomas, tell FOX 5 the probation violation involved a traffic citation. No officers were injured during the incident….
