CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Cleveland Cavalier guard Kyrie Irvingunveiled the truth on Monday night. Not about the loss to the Pistons, but about the win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, a game in which Irving left supposedly due to flu-like symptoms. It turns out, there was another bug at fault. Bed bugs, that kept Kyrie awake all night.

Irving says he saw bed bugs on his pillow.

“I got like three hours (sleep). I mean, just imagine how freaked out you would be if you saw five big bed bugs just sitting on your pillow”, Irving told reporters following Monday night’s game. “I woke up itching and I’m just looking around, I’m like ‘dude, are you serious?’. It was 3 am…I was so tired at that point,” he said.

Irving says he slept on the couch and only got three hours of sleep. Then he says he felt sick at the game because of a lack of sleep. Irving says he also had a tight back.

Prior to the Thunder game, the Cavaliers stayed at the Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City, a hotel rumored to be haunted.

The Skirvin Hotel is on the Legends of America website for being haunted. You’ll even find YouTube videos on it.  Back in 2010, the New York Knicks blamed a loss to the Thunder on a ghost at the hotel.
