Nas is a busy man. As the CEO of his label, Mass Appeal, he’s been bringing forth new talent like Harlem emcee Dave East. When he’s not breaking new artists, he’s investing into new technologies and startups with is venture capitalist firm Queensbridge Venture Partners. When he’s not doing either of the two, he’s busy being the front-man and face of Hennessy. As Nas and Hennessy continue their partnership into its second year, they’ve teamed up for a new commercial set to hit the online and TV spaces. The commercials deal with the Piccard family as Nas discussed the importance of pushing past one’s limits.

“To Nas, the campaign and the story of the Piccard family is inspiring and encouraging him going forward in his career. “The message behind the campaign is all about pushing the limits of one’s potential and breaking down barriers. Never stop. Never settle,” Nas told Complex in an exclusive interview. “I believe in this message. I push my own limits every day, every moment—in the studio, on the stage and beyond so it’s truly a genuine fit.”

As for the new album, that might still be a ways off. Nas said he’s letting the music dictate when it will be released. His last musical contribution was a freestyle over the uber popular “March Madness” beat courtesy of Future.
