Spotlight on Cleveland – ‘The Land’ Movie Trailer

Set to hit national theaters July 29th, this trailer confirms all of the assumptions I’ve had since I began my research on this picture.

This is gonna be a good one.

This is no cheesy, straight to DVD, flash in the pan movie. This is a real drama with real characters. Today’s youth, especially, will connect with this film.

Written and directed by Cleveland’s own Steven Caple Jr, this is his first swing at the big plate. He’s a former film student from USC where he also befriended one of his classmates Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther).

In an era where black filmmakers have found more success than ever, I have no doubt this will be solid debut to launch a long and prosperous career.

The Land, stand up… WE ON!!!
