Since Drake kicked off his Summer Sixteen tour back in July, he has traveled non-stop, while putting together great shows in every city that he visits.
However, Drake has now announced the postponement of his Summer Sixteen Tour, citing an injury recently sustained as the cause. Drake announced the news himself on his October’s Very Own blog:
“We are over 50 shows in and I have done everything to power through my recent ankle injury and leave it all out there on the stage every night. I hate to be told I can’t do something, but under doctor’s orders to allow me time to recuperate.”
“I only want to give you the best show you deserve, I promise—I will make it up to you. Thank you for understanding, and I can’t wait to see you all again with new music and a stronger ankle,” he then promised, before signing off.
He went on to add explain the postponed dates are October 9th, 13th, and 16th in Toronto, Philadelphia, and one of the Newark shows. There is no word yet on how and when these days will be re-scheduled.
