Gun Violence Continues To Plague Chicago, Over 1,000 Shootings For Year To Date

CLEVELAND– Two people were shot during an attempted robbery at a barbershop on Cleveland’s west side Wednesday night.

It happened at about 7:40 p.m. at Prodigy Cuts at West 59th Street and Storer Avenue.

Cleveland police said employees exchanged fire with three teens in self defense.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the back, while a 4-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the foot. Both victims were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in stable condition.

While at the scene, police learned a 16-year-old was dropped off at the hospital in a private vehicle. Police said he is one of the three suspects and the other two remain at large.
