Drizzy uses a phrase that sounds suspiciously similar to Tory’s given name.
Drake and Tory Lanez have a history of tension that’s far from resolved, so it comes as no surprise that a few bars on Drizzy’s new More Life release may have been dedicated to his Toronto rival. As Genius points out, it appears that Drake found a sneaky way to call Lanez out by name with a bit of wordplay. “You overnight celebrity, you one-day star,” he raps on closing track “Do Not Disturb.” While at first glance the line seems vague, closing the bar with “day star” reads curious given the similarity to Tory’s government name — Daystar Petersen.
