Conor McGregor Reportedly Knocked Out While Training for Mayweather Fight – blogged by: @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On August 26, #ConorMcGregor will take on boxing champion #FloydMayweather in the highly anticipated “Money” fight in Las Vegas, Nevada. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although both McGregor and Mayweather have been actively preparing for the match, it appears only one of the participants is having trouble in the ring. According to reports, former welterweight champion #JessieVargas revealed that McGregor has already been laid out while sparring for the forthcoming fight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Conor’s gonna get knocked out,” Vargas said in an interview with Villanfy Media. “Mayweather always lives up to the hype. I have no doubt. I actually want to put down money on it, the odds aren’t that bad. [McGregor] got knocked out in sparring already, man.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Though Vargas’ statement could not be confirmed, the former champion wasn’t the only person to discuss McGregor’s sparring. According to TMZ, McGregor’s former sparring partner Chris van Heerden revealed he had no problem landing on the MMA fighter-turned-boxer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I read all these posts where people say Mayweather’s gonna have his hands full landing on Conor because of Conor’s skill and footwork and movement,” van Heerden revealed. “I’m no Mayweather and-out of camp, out of shape – I landed [punches] on Conor McGregor at will.”
