“Twenty8, was born and raised in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. He was brought into a single parent household on the west side of Cleveland where his mother raised him and his 2 siblings. Dealing with the harsh realities with living in the rougher parts of Cleveland, Twenty8 found his escape in the world of R&B, when the Diary of Alicia Keys changed the 12 year old forever. Through R&B, Twenty8 soon found hip-hop where the music of artists such as Nas, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent and more exposed Twenty8 to his love of rap. Filled with inspiration and the bar being set high by his idols, Tyson recorded his first song at the age of 16 and sparked the beginning stages of the man the world knows as Twenty8. Needing a new change of scenery, the 18-year-old Twenty8 ventured to Salt Lake City, Utah looking for a fresh start. Things did not go as planned for him as he quickly found himself homeless with barely any money to put together for a decent meal. In between sleeping on park benches and in laundromats Twenty8 turned tragedy to triumph as he put out his first project “Compilation of a Broken Heart”.
