TSR Staff: Kyle Anfernee Instagram: @Kyle.Anfernee 📸: @GettyImages Papa Johns has been the official sponsor of the NFL since 2010, but that’s in the past now because they’ve decided to end their sponsorship, and you won’t believe which company is the new official sponsor. ___________________________________ Papa John's, which last fall blamed the NFL's response to player protests for slumping sales, will focus on its partnerships with individual teams, according to CNN Money. ___________________________________ "The NFL and Papa John's have made a mutual decision to shift from their official league sponsorship to a focus on partnerships with 22 local NFL teams, presence in broadcast and digital media, and key personalities in the sport," the league and company said in a joint statement. ___________________________________ The company will continue to invest in the NFL through its local-market deals with 22 teams.
