Kim Kardashian Returns To White House In An Effort To Free Another Convicted Felon Serving Life Sentence – Blogged by: @RaquelHarrisTV ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #KimKardashion met with #DonaldTrump again to discuss prison reform. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Wednesday, Kardashian arrived at the White House with the plans to discuss a pardon or clemency for Tennessee man, #ChrisYoung, who is serving a lifetime prison sentence without parole after being arrested for marijuana and cocaine possession. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Today at the White House, members of the administration are hosting a listening session about the clemency process," Trump spokesman Hogan Gidley said. "The discussion is mainly focused on ways to improve that process to ensure deserving cases receive a fair review." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tuesday evening, Kardashian brought Young’s story to “Wrongful Conviction” podcast host, Jason Flom, where she opened up about Young’s case. “Yesterday, I had a call with a gentleman that’s in prison for a drug case – got life," she said on the podcast. "It’s so unfair. He’s 30 years old. He’s been in for almost ten years,” said the reality star. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In addition to Trump, Kardashian says she’s also working with Tennessee Judge Kevin Sharp, who gave Young the harsh sentencing due to mandatory-sentencing regulations, according to USA Today. “I was on the phone with the judge that sentenced him to life," Kardashian said, adding Sharp "resigned because he had never been on the side of having to do something so unfair, and now he is fighting with us to get (Young) out." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If Kardashian can receive a pardon for Young, this will be her second successful prison reform act since her help with freeing #AliceJohnson in June.
