Netflix CEO Reed Hastings is getting a lot of praise for his generous “gift” to historically black colleges and universities! Hastings gifted $120 million to be divided up between Morehouse. . .Spelman and the United Negro College Fund!
It is reported:
“in what early estimates describe as being the largest individual gift ever given toward scholarships at historically black colleges and universities.” [Source]
Reed’s wife played parts in the gift. . .the couple stated they’re committed to doing their part “to start addressing the inequities faced by black people” and how they both hope their generous act inspires others to help black students attend HBCU’s. Continue reading [HERE].
