Local Police: Sobriety Checkpoint Tonight In This City

Northeast Ohio police have announced a sobriety checkpoint from 7 pm to midnight tonight (Thursday, Sept. 19).
The OVI checkpoint will be held in Parma. FOX 8 reports that police will set up near 7200 State Road.
Over 700 people were killed in 2023 by impaired drivers in Ohio. Those deaths were attributed to more than 11,000 OVI-related vehicle crashes last year.
Law enforcement is required by federal regulation to provide public notification for any OVI checkpoints.
