Roddy Ricch has teased the album for over a year, with the first hint coming in May 2024 when he shared what many believed to be the album’s lead single, “Survivor’s Remorse.”
The excitement quickly built, and Ricch initially set the release date for December 6 of that year, only to cancel it at the last minute. Another date, February 21, was later announced, but like the previous one, it came and went without the album’s arrival.
As a result, fans are understandably skeptical about the new July 18 date. Social media has been filled with reactions from fans expressing frustration over the constant delays.
One user on X (formerly Twitter) asked, “How many f*cking times is he gonna announce the release of this album?” Another wrote, “Delayed again? Gone and scrap it bruh.”

Despite the delays, Roddy Ricch has previously shared insight into what fans can expect from The Navy Album.
In a June 2024 interview with Apple Music, he explained that the album will mark a return to his roots, focusing on vulnerability and a more personal narrative.
“I feel like I’m just getting back to my roots of taking my time, being real lethal with my injection,”
Ricch said.
“I’m really just trying to give it everything I got and being as vulnerable as I can to my fans, allowing them into my life.”
He described the album as a “real experience,” almost like a soundtrack or a movie that tells the story of his life. Fans are eagerly anticipating a project that promises to offer an intimate look at the artist’s journey.
The Navy Album will be Roddy Ricch’s third studio album and his first since the 2021 release Live Life Fast.
As of now, the only confirmed guest feature is Terrace Martin, with Ricch also collaborating with his long-time producer, Turbo.
Turbo previously spoke about the project in an interview with Bootleg Kev, hinting that fans can expect a project filled with powerful, authentic soundscapes.
While fans remain wary of the release date, all signs point to The Navy Album arriving soon. Whether or not it drops on July 18 remains to be seen, but for now, all eyes are on Ricch to deliver on his long-awaited third studio album.
