REPORT: Chris Brown Arrested In England For Assaulting Music Producer

R&B heartthrob Chris Brown is reportedly in trouble with the law again.
The Sun reports that the “Residuals” singer was arrested outside of the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, England this morning. The arrest at 2 am local time is for an alleged incident that happened at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London in February 2023.
Brown was held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw. Diaw claims that Brown smashed him over the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, unprovoked, and then kicked him. “He hit me over the head two or three times. My knee collapsed as well,” Diaw told The Sun.
Diaw also filed a lawsuit against Brown in October 2023 over the incident, which resulted in him going to the hospital.
Police told The Sun:
“A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been taken into custody where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.”
The arrest comes as Brown is preparing for his Breezy Bowl XX tour, marking his 20th anniversary in music. So far, no comment from the singer or his team.
This is a developing story.
