If you keep up with the gossip of the rich and famous then you have probably seen the post about Cardi B starting a new school. There have been post and rumors about Cardi B signing a $175 million dollar contract to establish a boarding school for orphans and homeless children and it will be based in Chicago. I know when I first read this I said “Aye go Cardi go Cardi” this is what the people look for when we think of the celebs giving back and making a difference in black and brown communitites. I just knew Cardi B was on her Lebron James and about to change the lives of so many. Then it sunk in why is there not more press about this, this is major news so I had to do some digging because you cannot believe everything that you read online. First things first I went straight to the source because if she didn’t post it it’s obviously not true! The only thing I found was post about the album and the tour not a school post in sight, so I then went over to tiktok because I couldn’t find anything on any major news outlet which was a sign but I had to be sure. I say all of this to say this information about this new boarding school has not been verified, but she did make a large donation of $100,000 to her old middle school back in 2022 if that counts.
