CAM’RON IS REALLY SUING J.COLE
Last year I was surprised when news broke that Cam’ron was suing J. Cole over their 2024 collaboration “Ready ’24.” The lawsuit wasn’t just some random headline — Cam went public with why he took it that far.
According to Cam, the whole situation started back in 2022 when he agreed to contribute vocals to “Ready ’24,” which ended up on J. Cole’s Might Delete Later project. At the time, Cole supposedly told him that in return he’d either appear on a future Cam’ron record or come through on his “It Is What It Is” podcast.

Cam says he delivered his part quickly and professionally, but once the song was finished and released in 2024, none of those promises ever happened. Over the next couple years he kept reaching out, trying to make good on the deal, but Cole kept postponing, saying he was too busy or not in the right headspace to do it.
Frustrated, and feeling like his word was ignored, Cam filed a lawsuit in October 2025, seeking proper credit and compensation — his camp estimates at least $500,000 — because he says he hasn’t gotten paid for his work or seen the deal fulfilled.

Cam made it clear on his Talk With Flee show that the move wasn’t about beef or clout — to him, “being a man is keeping your word.” He says he didn’t want to take Cole to court, but he felt he had to stand up for what was agreed upon.
The case is still active, and official responses from J. Cole’s camp have been limited so far. Fans are watching closely to see how this one plays out.
