#ACRISISSHOW I SEEN SCARY MOVIE 6 SO YOU DONT HAVE TO
A CRISIS REVIEW: Scary Movie 6
I went into Scary Movie 6 hoping for a fun, over-the-top return to the franchise, but overall it felt pretty underwhelming.
A lot of the humor leaned heavily on repetitive private-part jokes, and many of the gags felt more like individual skits stitched together than a fully developed movie. That’s been part of the franchise’s DNA before, but here it often feels disconnected, like the film is jumping from bit to bit without a strong flow.
What worked
- Teyana Taylor’s opening appearance She brings energy right away and was one of the more memorable parts of the movie for me.
- The final 10–15 minutesThe ending becomes more entertaining and finally feels like the movie is having fun with itself.
What didn’t land for me
- The dark-comedy angle feels undercookedThe movie seems to want a darker edge, but it never fully commits to it in a way that feels clever or effective.
- PredictabilityEven for a spoof, I found the plot surprisingly easy to read. I was able to predict major beats, including the killer reveals, much earlier than I expected. Knowing where everything is going takes away some of the fun.
- Forgettable humorAside from a few moments, most of the jokes didn’t stick with me after the movie ended.

Overall
If you’re a die-hard fan of the Scary Movie franchise, you may find a few laughs, especially toward the end. But for me, Scary Movie 6 felt like a collection of skits searching for a stronger movie around them. It wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t particularly memorable.

My verdict: GOOD TIME ALCHOL REQUIRED/ FORGET IN T-MINUS 1 DAY
