According to reports, Boosie says he paid $600,000 to political operatives who claimed they could help secure him a presidential pardon from then-President Donald Trump. He alleges the pardon never happened, despite being told it had already been signed and was just waiting to be announced.

Now, Boosie is seeking $300,000 back, saying his contract included a 50% refund if the pardon wasn’t delivered. The defendants dispute those claims, saying there was never any refund agreement and that they worked hard on his behalf.

A White House official also reportedly said the two operatives had no role in the pardon process. While Boosie didn’t receive a presidential pardon, he later received a sentence of time served in his federal gun case.
