Paul Pierce Says LeBron’s Best Fit Is Cleveland, Not Boston
As speculation continues surrounding LeBron James’ NBA future, Hall of Famer Paul Pierce says there’s one destination that makes more sense than any other. Among the possibilities, a LeBron James Cleveland reunion is being discussed as a potential storybook ending. Additionally, it is adding to the buzz around LeBron James Cleveland connections.
Speaking during Derek Fisher’s 3rd Annual Be Better Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament, Pierce said he believes LeBron’s best fit is a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. For many fans, the idea of LeBron James Cleveland return carries special meaning.
With rumors connecting James to teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and Cleveland, Pierce didn’t hesitate when asked where he’d like to see the four-time NBA champion play next. In fact, many are hopeful for another chapter in the LeBron James Cleveland era.
When asked if Boston should be in the conversation, Pierce quickly shut the idea down, saying he doesn’t want to see LeBron wearing a Celtics jersey.
Pierce also addressed criticism over how long James has taken to make his decision, saying LeBron has earned the right to move at his own pace. Furthermore, he should make the choice that’s best for him.
The conversation also touched on reunion trips after Pierce said he’d be interested in organizing something similar to the recent gathering of LeBron’s 2016 Cavaliers championship team.
For now, LeBron’s next move remains one of the biggest stories of the NBA offseason.
Would you like to see LeBron finish his career in Cleveland, or do you think another team makes more sense?
