After years of filming in front of a traditional studio audience, Nick Cannon’s “Wild ’N Out” is preparing for a major change.

Executive producer Rip Michaels told TMZ that the show plans to hit the road full-time for its next season, filming episodes during live performances in different cities instead of bringing audiences to one central studio.

The new approach will essentially turn the next season into a nationwide “Wild ’N Out” tour.

‘Wild ’N Out’ Plans to Film in Cities Across the Country

Producers plan to take the cast into major markets around the United States, with cities including Miami, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Memphis and New York among the locations reportedly under consideration.

The production will record footage from the different tour stops and then use those performances to create the upcoming season.

Fans already got a preview of the concept during a live Brooklyn performance in June. According to the report, that event represented the type of live experience producers want to capture moving forward.

The change could also give more “Wild ’N Out” fans an opportunity to experience the show without traveling to its traditional filming location.

Casting Calls Will Give Local Talent a Shot

The tour won’t just bring the established “Wild ’N Out” cast to different cities.

Producers also plan to hold casting calls in each city, giving local talent an opportunity to earn a spot in that city’s live show. Local celebrities could also make appearances as the tour moves from market to market.

That could make each stop feel different while giving comedians and entertainers from around the country a chance to get in front of the “Wild ’N Out” audience.

What About the TV Show?

One major question remains: Where will fans watch the new season?

The report says producers haven’t yet made it clear whether the upcoming season will air on traditional cable television or move to a streaming platform.

Fans can currently find select older episodes through Paramount+ and Pluto TV.

Regardless of where the finished episodes land, “Wild ’N Out” appears ready to turn its next chapter into a much bigger live experience.

Instead of fans coming to “Wild ’N Out,” “Wild ’N Out” is coming to the fans.
