50 Cent Joins Joe For Surprise VERZUZ Collab Performance
Joe Surprises VERZUZ Crowd by Bringing Out 50 Cent for “Wanna Get to Know You”
Joe turned his VERZUZ battle with Donell Jones into a full-blown throwback moment when he surprised the crowd by bringing out 50 Cent.
The two reunited onstage to perform “Wanna Get to Know You,” their 2003 collaboration from G-Unit’s Beg for Mercyalbum.
The surprise came during the “R&B Nights” VERZUZ showdown between Joe and Donell Jones, but Joe made sure his set went beyond just his solo catalog.
Joe Reached Deep Into His Collaboration Bag
Before 50 Cent hit the stage, Joe reminded the audience just how many major records and artists he has worked with throughout his career.
Joe performed songs connected to Mariah Carey, Nas and Big Pun before responding to Donell Jones’ Round 14 selection, “I Hope It’s You,” with the 50 Cent surprise.
The crowd then watched Joe and 50 bring “Wanna Get to Know You” back to life more than two decades after its original release.
50 Cent Had Another Record Ready
50 didn’t stop with one song.
He also joined Joe for “Big Rich Town,” the theme song from the hit series Power. Joe provides the vocals on the record alongside 50, making it another natural choice for their reunion.
The performance gave fans a chance to hear two completely different eras of their collaborations — from their early-2000s G-Unit connection to the song that became synonymous with the Power television franchise.
Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda Joined the Night
Joe also brought out Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, adding even more New York energy to the VERZUZ stage.
What started as an R&B battle between Joe and Donell Jones quickly became a celebration of records, collaborations and moments that helped define an era.
And bringing out 50 Cent for “Wanna Get to Know You” gave the crowd one of the night’s biggest surprises.
