Claressa Shields is ready to turn Cardi B’s kids into young fighters — at least when it comes to knowing how to defend themselves.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist responded after Cardi recently talked about putting her children in boxing classes and joked that she expects them to have her back when she gets older.

Shields saw Cardi’s comments and quickly offered her services.

“Bring em to me @iamcardib,” Shields wrote on X, adding that she would have them “blocking eyes and busting lips in no time.”

Cardi B Wants Her Kids to Know How to Defend Themselves

The conversation started after Cardi spoke to her daughter Kulture during an Instagram Live session.

Cardi explained that she wants Kulture, who is 8, to learn how to fight because she knows situations can arise as she gets older where she may need to defend herself.

The rapper made the conversation entertaining in typical Cardi fashion, joking with Kulture about future confrontations and making it clear that she wants all of her children to know how to protect themselves.

But Cardi didn’t stop there.

Cardi Jokes Her Kids Better Have Her Back When She Gets Older

Cardi then flipped the conversation into a hilarious vision of herself as a senior citizen.

She joked that when she’s around 60 years old, her children will need to step in if somebody gives their mother trouble.

Cardi even pretended to make a future phone call to Kulture asking her to come help, joking that she would grab her cane while the kids handled the rest.

Kulture couldn’t help but laugh as her mother acted out the imaginary scenario.

Claressa Shields Says: Send Them My Way

That’s where Shields entered the conversation.

As one of the most accomplished boxers of her generation, Shields clearly believes she could help Cardi’s children develop some serious skills in the ring.

And Cardi already appears interested in introducing boxing to her children, so Shields’ offer could potentially turn into something more than a funny social-media exchange.

Cardi shares Kulture, Wave and Blossom with her ex-husband Offset. She also welcomed another son with NFL star Stefon Diggs.

Whether Cardi actually takes Shields up on the offer remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: if she wants her kids professionally trained, she has one heck of a boxing coach volunteering for the job.
