Dolly Parton International Airport — now tell me that doesn’t sound right?!

Fans want Nashville to make it official and rename Nashville International Airport after Dolly Parton, and this idea is picking up steam FAST.

A Change.org petition asking for the new name has now crossed 100,000 signatures. Here’s the crazy part: somebody actually started this petition back in January 2025, but it sat at around 53,000 signatures until Dolly’s death. Then more than 50,000 additional people jumped behind it in basically a day.

And the fans aren’t alone.

Sheryl Crow said she’s completely behind it, calling the idea a no-brainer. Tennessee State Representative Todd Warner also says he plans to introduce legislation to try to make the name change happen.

And come on… if Nashville ever wanted to put somebody’s name on that airport, Dolly has a STRONG case.

She grew up near Knoxville, became a superstar in Nashville and spent decades representing Tennessee all over the world.

Imagine flying into Nashville and hearing:

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Dolly Parton International Airport.”

That actually sounds kinda fire. 😂

The push comes as fans continue mourning Dolly, who died Tuesday at 80 after battling cancer. Since her passing, tributes have poured in from seemingly everywhere, and even her classic “Jolene” shot to No. 1 on Apple Music’s U.S. songs chart.

Now the question becomes whether Nashville officials actually make this happen.

Because fans have already made their vote pretty clear:

Put Dolly’s name on that airport!
